Wow, ever think Duncan would play like that? He was terrific, as were several others, especially Bam. But, beyond the scoring was the d, which is what allowed us to come back. And JRich again with some huge buckets at the end. That was fun to watch.

I never got as down on Dunc as you. I just was unhappy with his contract. I knew he belonged. But, it wasn’t just this game. Dunc refound his confidence in the playoffs last year and has built on it. Don’t forget, when we had Strus he would take Duncan minutes, as would Tyler. Tyler got hurt in the playoffs and Duncan came on. This year, Ty went down and ever since, JRich playing better. Sometimes it’s just player fits and finding your role.

Most folks here know that me, 2qbn, Vagibugi, and others have always viewed Duncan very different than you (“waive him, cut him, nobody wants him”). The way he’s playing now began, at least as far as I saw it, in the playoffs. If you didn’t notice, that’s on you. I specifically stated before the season that losing Strus wasn’t a big deal because Duncan could fill that role. Is a game like this a pleasant surprise? Of course. But his improvement has been coming along for a while.
I was watching the Spurs broadcast and the announcers even compared one of his moves with MJ. I’m legit lmao
This Duncan’s best offensive display ever, he scored in a variety of ways. Off the dribble, cutting, transition, 3ball, mid range, even got wemby with a hesi. Also jrich was very clutch for us at the end against his old team lol.
