Some people think this team is fine. Others say it’s fine if you want a 40-45 win team. Some say that trying to upgrade our weaknesses is panicing. Others see it as reality. All you have to do to understand the Heat’s talent level vis a vis the league is look at our record, who we beat and who we lost to. It’s right there in front of you, no mistaking it. Last year was an anomaly. It was a great ride. It was also last year. When we play some of the really good teams, the truth will be hard to deny. We need more.

There are three players who, although more helpful than not, are our biggest weaknesses. Love is the closest to a liability. He does the outlet pass well and rebounds okay, but he can’t shoot threes at an high enough percentage and is our worst defender. JRich seems to hit big shots down the stretch but is strictly a backup and is fine as that. Kyle quarterbacks the team fairly well, but often does little else. But, neither is so good we don’t need an upgrade. Those are our weaknesses. I still think Bryant should get Love’s minutes and that will be ok. But, no way to fix what Kyle doesn’t bring except outside.
anybody that can defend can get some minutes,kyle and kevin old and slow not a good combo.j rich can defend .caleb and hh would be my closers with bam jim or jjj.defense in every sport wins rings preventing runs td goals baskets
I couldnt believe we lost this one.

That’s what happens when you go up 22-1 to a team playing the second of back to back games. You lose focus and blow a big lead. That’s two double digit losses in 4th quarter. Most of the Heat’s 15 turnovers were in the second half. Highsmith 0 points on 0-4 shooting and Lowry 8 points on 3-10 shooting. 8 points on 3-14 shots from two starters just won’t cut it. Only three players in double digits, Bam, Butler and Duncan. That won’t cut it either. Herro can’t come back and Riley can’t make a trade for a two-way starting point guard soon enough. Oh well. Let’s get the next one on Monday.
