The Miami Heat released their full five-game preseason schedule for the 2026-27 season on Thursday. The schedule includes three at home, one on the road and one at a neutral site.
The Giannis Antetokounmpo era will unofficially begin in Quebec City, Canada, against the Toronto Raptors (a semi-home game for them…), who are awaiting the Kawhi Leonard-Aspiration probe. The game will be on Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m. EST.
The final four games will be against the New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic, respectively.
The five-game schedule reads as follows (all times Eastern):
- Oct. 3: at Toronto (neutral site … semi-home for TOR), 7:00 p.m.
- Oct. 8: vs. New Orleans, 7:30 p.m.
- Oct. 10: vs. Minnesota, 8:00 p.m.
- Oct. 14: vs. Brooklyn, 7:30 p.m.
- Oct. 16: at Orlando, 7:00 p.m.
With roughly two months before the start of training camp, Miami has three open roster spots — two that it will fill. Technically, it can hold up to 21 bodies, but must be cut down to 15 by opening night.
The Heat is less than $11 million from the first apron hard cap, with roughly $8 million of its mid-level exception still available.
The full 82-game schedule will be released at a later, undetermined date.

I wouldn’t push trading Jovic until the end of preseason games. We should all see if he has gained any experience, confidence and maturity. He’s not the kid that was drafted 4 years ago. A positive mental attitude is 90% of it. Show us what you’ve got Niko. Time to earn your keep.
europe nba like college to pro football minor league major league ahl nhl.why is he going to look any diifferent he cant get to the rim only chance if he improves his j.a cat has 9 lives.a keshad johnson has no lives f u spobot
As usual, you are counting out a player who may have improved. I don’t know about you, but many young people mature and improve their skills from when they are 19 to when they’re 23. Jovic works well with a dominant big man – Jokic. Now he will be playing with a dominant big man on the Heat. Giannis pulled him aside and told him he looked forward to playing with him. He never got that type of encouragement from Butler or Bam.
As for Keshad, who I like, have you seen how many teams lined up to sign him when he became a free agent? None, at least not yet. So, at least to this point, other teams view him similarly to Spo. You also blamed Spo for not playing Vlad.
from what ive seen of limited keshad and lots of jovic i think keshads a better nba player my opinion.becuase old man pat paid jovic mistakingly he has to give him 9 lives.so far hes been a dissapointment.my opinion.vlad has looked lsow in gleague games thos high compression socks he wears noe makes me believe hes not 100% healthy.he would of helped last year just with his size on defense and rebounding.hes one giant man with no body fat, impressive physique.
Aha, we’re back to old man Pat and the season hasn’t even started. Yes, Jovic has shown nothing much to this point. I think this group is a better fit for him. We’ll see.
Other teams, Spo and me. I wish it would be different.
Not true. The best European teams are better then some of the NBA teams.
If you talk about about national teams, there will be at least 3-4 European teams better then US team without players like LBJ, Curry, Durant.
my generals want those teams.we would be called the globetrotters after we get done with those teams.ive seen euro ball on tv .gleague teams would smack them around
Well, if you saw last Olympics games, France and Serbia were quite close to beat US with Curry, Durant, LBJ. Now they are all gone. US doesn’t have that caliber of players any more.
Right now, No 1 should be France with Wemby, then there is a group of Canada, Serbia, US, Germany, Spain, Greece, hopefully Slovenia in a year or two.
US will be lucky to win a medal on big tournaments in the future.
