After the now 22-21 Miami Heat’s discouraging second half effort in a loss to the Golden State Warriors, they will aim to respond against the Sacramento Kings on the road for the second half of a back-to-back.
The Kings have been one of the league’s biggest disappointments this season. Despite a roster that has Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Russell Westbrook— they have underperformed to a 12-31 record thus far. They sit at the 14th seed in the Western Conference and have lost eight of their last 10 games.
Miami is in need of a bounce back performance. Not only after falling to the Warriors on Monday night, but after the Kings stormed into Kaseya Center and upset the Heat back on December 6. In that game, LaVine torched the Heat defense with a 42-point eruption.
The Heat have not released their injury report yet, but barring any surprises, the only key rotation piece expected to be unavailable is Tyler Herro. They will try to snap a three-game losing streak against Sacramento, with the team’s last win against the Kings dates all the way back to February of 2024.

dunno its a b2b…maybe be they rested in the second half yesterday for this game. oh well…go heat
So I have a question. When did Tyler get hurt? Or did his agent recommend him telling the team he is injured making it difficult for the team to trade him……so he won’t get traded before the trade deadline and when he is still here unfortunately he will all of a sudden be healthy again? Asking for a disgruntled tired fed up heat fan
all these injuries are hurting his trade value.the guy is made of glass.dont think hes tradeable for anything worthwhile.just dont resign him let him walk.
or maybe Heat is prepping him for a trade and so “resting” him thru injury. we may never know

With the Heat going nowhere, Riley should explore:
More good news.
Miami Heat beat writer Ira Winderman says that Tyler Herro’s current trade value around the league is right in line with the likes of Ja Morant and Trae Young. After the disaster year it’s been for Herro, this is an added punch to the gut for the Heat.
This one’s on you Pat.
Precious Achiuwa, where have I heard that name before. If I had known Riley wasn’t going to do a damn thing to shore up the front court, I wouldn’t have been so eager to release Precious. If Riley knew he had an issue to resolve back then, actually even before the season started, why didn’t he address it?
Problems don’t get better on their own if they aren’t addressed, they just get worse. If you don’t believe me, ignore your car the next time it starts making strange noises and see what happens. Riley has been ignoring this particular problem for three months. Why?
hes trying to make moves nobody wants tyler jovic etc to get something good got to give up something good we have 3 players would help just about any team powell bam ware.milw gonna look for the best package.ja morant could be gotten much cheaper and would def help us.theres no high flyers no .tough sobs on roster ,besides dav there no dawgs outthere.this team is so boring and so soft.its too white also .this all pats fault.maybe hire curt cignetti oh wait wrong sport
Mitchell, Jaquez and Larsson are the only bulldogs. They are the core of what could be a very good second team, especially if you add a solid PF/C like Reid, Stewart, Portis, etc.
Its the first team that needs help. All of them are ok if you added a ss. Without one, they are mediocre. They are worse than mediocre if you subtract Powell. If it wasn’t for his extremely fortunate offseason acquisition, Miami would be a lottery team.*
*Powell’s scoring has probably won at least 5 games for the Heat this season. The Heat is only 3.5 games ahead of 11th place Milwaukee.
So, if you had Jokic, Doncic, Dirk, Nash, Stockton, Pau, and Bird on this team, would you still say it’s too white? I think not.
The weak link in basketball, not unlike the cornerback in pro football, is point guard. But, with Stockton and Nash, it would be in good hands. Add Bill Walton and a decent bench and that team would be formidable.
