The Miami Heat Officially Know Who They Will Face In Las Vegas
On Friday, the NBA released the complete schedule for the 2026 NBA Summer League, giving Heat fans their first look at when Miami’s newest rookies and young prospects will take the floor. The annual showcase begins July 9 in Las Vegas, with each team guaranteed four preliminary games before a fifth matchup is determined by tournament results.
Here’s Miami’s four-game slate:
| Date | Opponent | Arena /NAT TV | Time (ET) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Friday, July 10 | Milwaukee Bucks | T&M > Prime | 4:00 p.m. |
| Saturday, July 11 | Orlando Magic | Pav > Prime | 3:30 p.m. |
| Monday, July 13 | Cleveland Cavaliers | Pav > Prime | 8:00 p.m. |
| Tuesday, July 14 | Toronto Raptors | Pav > ESPN 2 | 9:00 p.m. |
As with every Summer League, the schedule is only part of the intrigue. Although I must admit, I appreciate the NBA’s decision to schedule a Heat-Bucks matchup so soon after their, let’s just say for now, draft day trade preceding an expected Giannis Antetokounmpo megatrade to be announced later.
The Miami Heat’s Summer League Roster Will Be Announced At A Later Date:
The Heat have yet to officially announce their Summer League roster, leaving plenty of questions surrounding who will suit up in Las Vegas. Miami’s recent first-round selections, second-year players and undrafted free agents are all candidates to participate, while Exhibit 10 and two-way contract players could also earn opportunities to impress the organization during the week-long event.
Summer League has become an important proving ground for the Heat in recent years. The franchise has consistently uncovered contributors through its player development system, with players such as Duncan Robinson, Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and Haywood Highsmith all using offseason opportunities to strengthen their cases for NBA roles before becoming meaningful contributors at different points in their careers.
This year’s roster figures to draw even more attention following Miami’s eventful offseason. While the Summer League is primarily about development rather than wins and losses, it offers fans their first opportunity to evaluate the organization’s newest additions in a competitive setting.
Each team will play four scheduled games before the top four clubs advance to the Summer League semifinals. Teams that do not qualify will still play a fifth consolation game before the event concludes on July 19.
We’ll have complete coverage throughout Summer League, including the official Heat roster once it is announced, game previews, recaps, standout performances and any roster moves that follow.
